COCOȘUL DE AUR

It is said that in Târgu Mureș the last witch in Europe was burned at the stake, Barbara Farkas. She was sentenced because she knew the children’s sex before they were born and found miraculous cures. On the spot where the execution would have taken place in 1752, is now the “Golden Rooster”, one of the most beautiful buildings in Transylvania, in the Neobaroc style with Secession elements. Originally known as the Bürger Palace, the building was built in 1880 by the well-known brewer, Albert Bürger.

Azon a helyen, ahol 1752-ben a kivégzés történt volna, most az „Aranykakas”, Erdély egyik legszebb épülete áll, neobarokk stílusban, szecessziós elemekkel. Az eredetileg Bürger-palota néven ismert épületet 1880-ban építette a jól ismert sörfőző, Bürger Albert.
